to love you purely

as I love trees and

the quiet sheens and

of my house

my heart is full

of charity

of fair play

although on other

it has been acknowledged

I am a thief

to be fully human is to sit together in the suffering

to be fully human is to sit together in the suffering

my heart is fragmented. I’m sitting at my desk, black coffee and the black keys, thinking about self-disruption and intimacy. How I need to extend grace and be given it. I’m traveling today and I’m excited. Spring days are the best for traveling, even when it’s as unglamorous as driving down east coast highways. my roommate is transcribing Spanish songs into English and it’s quiet and lovely. I am practicing stillness.
